I fucking hate coparenting.

Honestly just looking to rant where no-one knows me and doesn't expect me to act grateful because "at least he has her" (my dad buggered off when I was a toddler, never to be seen again).

But I fucking hate it. I hate that he just gets to "log-off" parenting and can forget she exists for days on end. I hate that he doesn't even think to contact her when he doesn't see her for a week. I hate that he gets to arrange all his days around his life and never has to ask for a certain day off from being a dad. I hate that has never ever had her even one day more than he's obligated to. I hate that his work isn't affected. I hate that when he's ill he just gets to be ill, rather than ill and a parent still. I hate how much she adores the bones of him despite the absolute lack of fucking effort he ever puts in. I hate how little he does with her. I hate that other than food, he spends zero money on her. I hate that I'm responsible for every little bit of life admin or organisation that she needs. I hate that despite never paying for any of her clothes or belongings, he's still incapable of ever giving me them back without weeks of nagging. I hate that the minute I have anything to say, everything is made out to be my fault. I hate that I have to share birthdays and Christmas with someone who doesn't care. And I hate how much it is going to eat away at me forever because I truly do not understand how someone can care so little about our girl who is so incredible and deserves so much better.

I don't blame you. Also she is very lucky to have you.

Don't let it eat away at you though. It is shit and unfair but carrying around resentment and anger is just going to drag you down. For whatever reason he is not capable of giving of himself the way you are.

It's shit but a fact of life that when you are a competent and capable person you end up picking up where others fail. It's actually something you should be proud of.

Why are you sending clothes to his house? He should have clothes there.
