Autistic son refusing to wee even in nappy

Please help. My 4 year old non verbal autistic son refuses to wee anywhere, now even in his nappy. He freaks out every time he needs a wee and will hold it in until he is in complete agony. He doesn’t have a UTI and I don’t know how to help him? Has anyone experienced this, please any tips would be so helpful! Thank you x

Hi there , though my daughter is autistic I have no direct experience of your dilemma but when my brother in law was a toddler a uti left him very fearful of peeing. A doctor at the hospital stood him up in a basin of very cold water and he pee’d everywhere. ❤️
