I’m getting increasingly frustrated with the parental controls on Amazon Prime Video.
You can set an age restriction on a child’s profile, but you can’t properly block individual programmes that you don’t want your children watching. You can hide a title, but it can still appear in searches/recommendations and the kids can find it again.
For me, age ratings aren’t really the issue. There are some programmes that technically fall within the right age bracket that I simply don’t want my children watching, and I think parents should be able to make that decision.
It seems such a basic parental-control feature, particularly when children are using Prime Video independently on a TV; the controls are there for a tablet so they can do it!
I couldn’t find anyone campaigning for Amazon to change it, so I’ve started a petition asking them to introduce the ability to properly block individual titles from children’s profiles.
If this annoys you too, I’d really appreciate a signature:

Also interested to know whether other parents have found a workaround that actually works!
