7 year old ds suddenly started missing me

My dd has just got into juniors and this past week she has cried every day not wanting to go to school. This is not like her at all, she’s always loved going to school.

She is a bit of a worrier and always asks if things are going to be ok.
Ive asked her why she’s getting upset at school and she told me she misses me.
Shes worried if she needs to go to the toilet (poo) and she can’t clean her bottom right. She can do it at home so I told her you will be fine.
She does sometimes get constipated at home and I sit in the bathroom with her when she is and she says she’s worried if that happens at school and she needs me. That makes her upset and makes her miss me.

I had to leave work early last week due to a phone call from school. She’d told them she’d been sick at home that morning, and she hadn’t. She’s crying in bed at night worrying about school the next morning and then we have tears in the morning as well.
Yesterday she hid my car keys in the house because she thought if I couldn’t find me keys then she wouldn’t have to go to school Monday.

Anyone have any advice what I can do? Like I say she’s never been like this before. I’m not sire if it’s going back after the 6 week holiday and also going into juniors which is a change for her that’s making her like this

It sounds like she's unsettled by the big change going into juniors. Is she separated from her friends, is she struggling with the work she's been set, are the classroom expectations different? I would have a word with her teacher and see if they can keep an eye and work out if she's struggling academically or socially. If she's frequently constipated, can you up the fibre in her diet and try and encourage her to drink more water? Kiwi fruit for breakfast are great, a handful of dried apricots can get things moving gently too. Can you give her a small packet of flushable wipes to keep in her pocket if she's worried about being clean enough?

Thank you for your reply.
Shes not separated from her friends, they are still all in the same class. She has said the work is harder, I’ve told her it will be at first until she learns it. I’ve also told her to keep drinking her water throughout the day, it will help if she needs the toilet. Also for her some of those flushable wipes to keep in her bag.

Think I will speak with her teacher when I get the chance. She doesn’t want me to because she embarrassed so will have to do it without her knowing. Thanks again

How about you sit her on the toilet in the mornings before and after school? Not sure if your already doing this but might take some of the anxiety away if shes already tried.
