Baby struggling with bowel movement

My baby is currently 7 weeks old and is struggling to pass bowel movements (a mixture of soft/hard stool) She was on cow and gate but we moved her to Kendamil comfort but it's not really helped and possibly made things worse. She will only go to the toilet when encouraged by me or my partner. Can anyone recommend a different formula or have a similar experience?

Hello! So yes both my babies (breastfed) struggled with pooing until they were 10-12 wk. I think often young babies struggle with the muscle coordination required to have a poo. How are you encouraging her? I had to help mine by gently pressing their knees up towards their chests... When they got a bit bigger it stopped being an issue. I can sympathise though, lots of sleepless nights came down to them just needing a poo and not being able to do it 🙄

Edited to add, I think it's fairly common and is just one of those things you have to wait for them to outgrow, but it feels like an endless wait when you're actually going through it!

Try a goat formula? We got on well with Nannycare but I think the Kendamil Goat has similar reviews!
