Reducing bottles and encouraging solids for a 10 month old

I have a 10.5 month old who still drinks 4 7oz bottles a day and he is starting to refused solid meals and think it is because he just isn't hungry after his bottle. Any tips on how to reduce the bottles before he is 1 in 5 weeks would be great. Has anyone just cut them out and offered snacks? start weaning onto cows milk in the day? Could this just be his preference and work on solid foods once he is one? We thought part of it could be teething, but who knows with babies.

Also, any cups for milk recommendations would be appreciated as want to keep his water and milk cups separate.

When does he have his bottles @cofusedmum88?

I’m guessing on wake-up, before his 2 naps and before bed?

If so, I would drop the first bottle and go straight to breakfast with a cup of milk.

At 10 months you’re aiming for 15 Floz/450 mls of formula a day.

When he first wakes up in the mornings, the when he wakes up from his naps around 11am and 3pm and then before bed.

I would give the wake up bottle, then offer food before all the other bottles. Just offer food everytime you have it yourself, including any snacks. Bottle after.
