Stroller difficulty

Hi. We are going through a phase of stroller difficulty as our DS gets a little older, just over two. Living in urban area so it is required as you can imagine. Did you just persist with it or gradually draw them away from it 😊 it's still really useful for tiredness and a stroll for us.

We used a balance bike with a dog collar and lead on. Safe on the pavement and then easy to unclip the lead at the park.

We’re do you put the collar?

A buggy board is useful even if you don’t have a second child. Then you can give the child the choice of the buggy board or going in the stroller when they are tired.

I know other people who use those push along trikes. It’s basically the same as a pushchair but more exciting in the mind of the toddler.

We also use a balance bike but it doesn’t work in a busy urban area or when they get tired. They do speed up but to start with a a 2yo on a balance bike is slower than a 2yo walking.

Here. You don't want it to interfere with their steering at all. Just make sure you lower the lead if they go past you a little so that it doesn't catch their handlebars.

We use a push trike. It's similar to a pram but they can see more and are not buckled in, so my DS likes it

This, only I used my scarf. None of mine wanted to be in the buggy much after their 2nd birthday.

We also had a bike trailer that converted to big buggy format that we used for longer distances/days out, that could take the balance bike as well as a child or 2 if necessary. I still mourn for it on days out (youngest is nearly 8 so it's long gone) was so handy for water bottles, jackets etc
