Hello, my family are looking to relocate to York, specifically near new estate Langley or possibly Sovereign Park, i have a 12 year old who will be going into Year 8, i have been told we can be allocated any school within 3 miles although they will consider the schools we wish to apply for, all secondary schools are oversubscribed but our catchment would be Manor Church of England, York High or Millthorpe has anyone got any advice regarding these schools, or any school in general as we have bought anywhere yet. My daughter is academically average and currently attends an outstanding high school but isn’t overly happy, as there is an awful lot of pressure regarding target grades, it would be lovely to find somewhere that looks at the person overall not just academically. Any advice much appreciated thanks.
