Hartbeeps classes

Hi everyone.

I am considering taking my 2 year old to Hartbeeps classes specifically the Happy House sessions. The problem being that our local sessions about a 45 minutes away. It also you have to block book (no trial sessions available like most clubs we have done or seen.) So paying over £40 and making an 6 week commitment to something I don't know much on is not exactly what I want to do.

So is anyone taking or have taken their children their? And would you recommend it? Or any other view points or experiences you have had?

Thank you so much in advance 🙂

Personally I wouldn’t bother with a class that far away. If you do make a connection with any of the other Mums, they could live another 40 minutes or so in the other direction. That could make meeting up really difficult.

Do you have any classes or groups a bit closer?

Imo nothing is worth a regular 1.5 hour return journey for a 2 year old. Plenty of local library’s run rhyme times and sensory stay and plays.

I do have to agree. Have you checked led out what’s available et places like the library, swimming pool and local playgroups?

At age 2 I wouldn't go to anything structured as they just want to be free. Personally I like softplay, Gymnastics drop ins, playgroups etc at that age. I did Bloom which is similar to Hartbeeps when my DS was younger but after he was 1 year old I just couldn't keep him sitting still and didn't want to!

They are really not worth that much effort . Depends how engaged your little one is too. In my experience a lot of the kids ignore whats going on!

I took my youngest as a baby as we had a class close by and did enjoy them but it wouldn't have been worth a 90 minute round trip, he's 18m now and he just wants to play around, I don't think he'd want anything structured.

My dcs loved Hartbeeps although we stopped going by age 2, just because there were other classes they liked more. We used to travel up to 35 mins for good baby and toddler groups/classes, as a regular thing 45 mins is probably a bit longer than we'd have done but we would go to events for dcs up to an hour away as an occasional thing so I wouldn't rule it out just on distance. I did find Hartbeeps much better than the bog standard rhyme time and local playgroups, the leader was more engaging and the toys were always fun and interesting.
