Anallergenic dog food

My staffie has been on the Royal Canin Anallergenic dog food prescribed since being a puppy. He has a stench that comes back after week after a bath. Any tips on food/routine that helps?

I think you'd do better to have this moved to the dog section OP rather than parenting.

Is he on this due to food intolerance - as in he needs hydrolysed protein ? Or is it a different sensitivity such as to grains?

If it’s intolerance, my dog did well on Hills ZD, although now she is older we have moved to Purina Pro Plan HypoAllergenic.

There are a lot of very specialised diets depending on the issue, so you may want to talk to your vet about alternatives ( and I will say, that certain vets seem to favour specific food manufacturers based on the deals they can do. My vet is very pro-Hills, but will research alternatives as needed)
