Bloody shoes!!!

My DD is a very sensitive kid, always gets upset at labels, cuffs and especially shoes. She's just turned 7 BTW.

Her feet have just grown and I honestly am dreading getting the new lot of footwear. School shoes, gym shoes, wellies, party shoes, winter boots...how many bloody shoes does a kid need??!!!

Anyway she gets so upset that they are not tight enough and all the velcro ones end up looser than when she started wearing them because she pulls them so incredibly tight and that makes her more upset. I've had to buy her lace up ones but even that causes problems, they're not tight enough, they rub, they're uncomfortable, she hates trainers, they're comfortable but she doesn't want to wear them because they don't look good. I am at my wits end.

I will spend ages going round shops just trying to find shoes that won't upset her, I buy them and then about 2 weeks later she will blow up at them and it causes so much stress every time she needs to leave the house.

I don't think I can do it anymore but I have to don't I?! The actual amount of wasted money drives me nuts.

I'm not sure what I'm asking other than for advice as to how not to buy x48483839 pairs of shoes this month. Help me OP!!!

Have a look at BGreater shoes. I’ve bought about 6 pairs from them and they last very well. Is it definitely the shoes or could it be socks as well that irritate? We get seamless socks from Sensory Smart. They’re expensive but they save my sanity in the mornings when getting ready for school.

I have the same problem with my daughter, its a bloody nightmare im the morning and soul destroying 😔, the amount of gorgeous shoes I have handed into the school unworn is unreal. We found she will only wear black High top converse, so its lots and lots of pairs of the same shoe now 🤷🏼‍♀️ I would rather that than the screaming melt downs every morning. She is 11 and last year of primary school and awaiting a sensory test with cahms...wish it would hurry up.
