Weaning advice

Hi all,

Currently in the early days of weaning my almost 7 month old and we’ve had huge success with veggie purées to start with.

With my older son we leaned more towards baby led weaning and he didn’t really eat much puréed food at all. He didn’t have any issues with gagging or struggling with food and I found the weaning journey with him very easy and enjoyable.

Although my daughter absolutely loves eating and has been excited and enthusiastic by every thing I’ve given her so far (mostly in puree form) when I try to offer anything more robust than a squashed raspberry she gags and coughs and at times will retch like she’s going to be sick. It really scares me because at times she looks like she is choking (makes no noise) but then will start spluttering and gagging.

Any advice welcome :)
