Use by date on salads

I feel so bad.
I've just made dinner and by accident gave my 9 year old salad that said use by 16th August (2days ago).
She ate it and said it tasted fine.
I lifted the wrong salad from the fridge and only realised after she asked for more. Try I saw the unopened fresh salad!

I'm worried that she will get food poisoning as I've read that prepacked and prewashed salad spoils quickly.
The salad looked and tasted fine but I've also read Listeria doesn't show up through looking spoiled...
Anyone else have experience of this?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don’t think I’ve ever looked at the date on my salad leaves even when feeding to my kids. If they look fine I use them if they don’t I throw them. Same with fruit etc

If it wasn't black and slimy then it was fine.
