How would you handle a parent excluding one child from holidays?

I would like some guidance on how to approach this situation and what others would do in my shoes. My child is almost 15 and has never been on holiday with the OP. However, the OP goes away multiple times a year with their step daughter and daughter from a current relationship. They make it very well known they are going away and has never asked for our child to go even to the extent that they missed their Aunties overseas wedding as it was “too expensive for them to go” but they all went. It’s now at a point where they haven’t seen the OP since Easter and despite it being the school holidays still hasn’t seen our child. They’ve now said they “should be able” to pop 5 days in next week but no longer as they are going on holiday again. What would other parents do in this situation? I’ve approached before and said our child is becoming extremely upset that they are never included and never sees the OP. It’s extremely heartbreaking to see our child know he’s not invited but also doesn’t want to upset the other parent by saying anything. Any advice would be really appreciated here. Thank you

That's absolutely awful, I'm so sorry, it must be devastating for your child. What has the other parent said when you've approached them about it?

I think you need to have a chat with your ex to point out how this is impacting his son and their long term relationship.

he can’t advocate for himself on this sort of thing. You need to do it for him.

I’ve already raised the issue previously and the OP has chosen to do it again. When I do raise things they just ignore the message/issue at hand. It’s a very sad situation as we now have a child questioning their worth and what they have done to deserve being excluded!!

How awful for your son . You can only be his safe parent and be there to comfort him. Unfortunately you can't force his OP to take him anywhere nor can you force any bond if it is not there . Horrible person to do this to their own son and obviously not capable of any emotional empathy .

What might be happening is that your exes partner finances her own kids going away, but not his kid.

How often does ds usually see his father?

Thus @FunnyBeaker is her ally very sketchy either the detail when it comes to her threads. Adds and omits details just to garner support.

I feel sorry for the ex having to deal with this
