Sandals for new walker and holiday?

My almost 17 months old started walking a few weeks ago on his own (had been walking holding one hand for months and finally got the confidence to go himself so is pretty steady already!).

We have Clarks pre walker shoes for him which he walks great in but they're chunky leather and needs socks. We're going on holiday in about 2 weeks and if love to have some sandals that he doesn't need to wear socks for to keep his feet cooler! Has anyone any recommendations?

I'd go on happy little soles website and get some from there. Bobux does some lovely sandals, or if you want ones to go in water, Igor Nemos are good!

All of those are 'barefoot' which just means they'll allow DC's feet to be the shape they are

My 18 month old has Clarks sandals, they’re great. He seems very comfortable in them.

Crocs do some great ones, my sons loved those and they're good for sand/getting wet as they are plastic

Unless he’s going to be on sand/in water, I’d just keep him in his normal shoes. If you need to protect his feet in the water or hot sand, I’d look for crocs or water shoes. Otherwise, he can go barefoot or in socks unless walking around town, but I presume he’ll be in a pushchair a lot still.
