Nappy rash developed since potty training started this week.

My 22mo DD has almost imediatly gotten a rash on the top of her bottom since we started potty training last Saturday.

She's in pants all day, and no accidents since day 3. She is going 16/20 times a day and is happy to sit on her potty for a little while each time. I wash out the potty (remvable bowl) every time and anti-bac and dry it each time too.

What am i missing? Any ideas?

Wonder if she's got a problem with the elastic in the knickers?

Thanks Dennny185, rash has got smaller, now it's just between her cheeks where they hit the back of the potty, i think that was what was causing it.

You really have to keep on top of the washing and wiping (obviously) But it just goes to show how good disposable nappys have been keeping the moisture away from skin.

She's been a real star though. We started on a Saturday, and by the following Saturday she happily heads to the bathroom, manages her knickers, does her business, and as long as i have left water in the sink, she will wash hands, with soap, and dry them.

I can't believe she has learnt so quickly to do all that herself. she wants me with her sometimes, and of course i always go in afterwards to clean up. But Hey Ho it beats the endless nappy changing.

She makes me pay for it when we go out though. We went to a birthday party at the weekend and in an hour and a half, we did 12 trips to the bathroom. It's just the novelty.

She's a genius.
