KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTYS

My sons about to turn 6 and now in school.

His birthdays in October so last year (reception) we didn’t do a party as he’s only been there a few weeks. However this year we’re planning on doing one.

Now my son is autistic and non verbal.

He went to 2 party’s last year at play centres and really struggled due to how busy/loud they are.

So my idea was to do a party at home and book a party bus.

However my hubby is saying this is weird and strangers (school kids parents) won’t want to come to our home for a birthday party

So who’s right?

Fine to do it at home so long as your house can accommodate however many people you want to invite.

Absolutely fine to do it at home. Cheaper too.

We do all our parties at home, not sure why it would be weird!

How will it work with the party bus, is it taking the kids out for a drive or just staying outside your house and the kids can dip in and out? Is a party bus something your son will enjoy if he's found previous parties too loud and overwhelming?

We do it at home and most of the parties my dd was invited to were at the child’s house last school year- only exception was for twins where I guess they couldn’t accommodate all the children at home so did at the beach. We live in Europe and in our country it tends to be the norm to only invite 10 or so children.

We always do parties at home. For a 6th birthday at home, 6 kids for a 2 hour party is plenty. Have some party games ready or hire an entertainer and have a cake too.

Be careful with hiring a party bus I hired one for my sweet Hugos birthday nd it crashed into some bushes outside the local church. cake was ruined kids were shaken up overall horror story and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy mothers. parents weren't happy either kids were so distraught wouldn't even accept party ads overall waste of time and money and a massive massive danger and health risk please ensure you have a safe bus driver and have signed multiple safety contracts before departure on the party bus. another complaint before the crash the party bus was playing extremely inappropriate music by some woman who I soon found out was called Megan thee stallion I was shocked to say the least another song they kept on playing was some one talking act a headqwuates expecting doomsday I was deeply deeply confused and upset whole party pretty much went to shit before careful once again I don't rlly recommend. susannawester1984 signing out for duty xoxox
