Music device for DC 7yrs

I’m looking for ideas for how my DC can listen to music in their bedroom. They have a Tonie box but have grown out of many of the figures so I’m looking for something suitable for a nearly 8 year old. They have access to a very old iPad but I don’t want them to have their own yet. Any ideas will be appreciated.

A radio?

Do you use Alexa? My children both have old echo dots in their room and listen to music and audiobooks on them.

I bought little MP3 players and headphones for my 8 and 6 year olds last year. Big success (although I had to enlist an 18 year old to help me put music on them - it's nearly 20 years since I had an MP3 player and I had no idea how to do it now!)
