Rude 6-8yo, anyone turned it around?

Really tired of rude tone and disrespectful attitude from my 6.5 and 8.5yo boys. I don’t remember ever speaking to my parents this way! They’re polite with manners with others and no issues at all at school, but the “I knoooooow” type of sass is really getting me down. I can give further examples but ultimately it seems like a general disrespect, more towards me than DH (their father). I’ve got a younger boy also watching these interactions, and don’t want to be living in a house where I’m spoken to like this. Fed up.

Has anyone solved this? Got any effective tactics?

How does your DH speak to you? Does he call them out when they speak to you like that? Both DH and I will call it out very sharply when our 9 year old does this. How’s your relationship generally with your 8 year old, can you chat about it
at a time when you’re getting on and he’s in a good mood, in terms of how it feels to be spoken to like that?
