My dd is 11, and heading into year 7 after the summer.
After at least 5 years without a problem, we’ve had 3 bedwetting accidents in the past couple of months, totally out of the blue. No routine changes other than the impending move up to secondary school, no diet or medical changes either.
She’s perfectly well in herself, no toilet changes or problems whilst awake. It may just be freak accidents, it happens (I remember feeling the shame of doing it once maybe a year or two younger - not that there was anything to be ashamed of!), or puberty wreaking havoc with her hormones, but with it happening three times now and how embarrassed and upset she’s been, I wanted to check in and see if anybody has any ideas or advice? It’s clearly not the end of the world, I’ve dug out the old mattress protector and we’re just being matter of fact and playing it down but I don’t want her to be upset and obviously a bit worried about something happening at a sleepover or on a guide camp or school residential.
Appreciate any pointers, thanks!
Ps. I was quite an active member when dd was younger, but haven’t really needed any advice as she’s become that bit more self sufficient, and now I can find my serials hence the new account. 🤦♂️
