Anterior tongue tie

I just wondered if anyone had any experience of Anterior Tongue Tie. 4 day old newborn and midwife just let me know he had this, I’m bottle feeding so she let us know we wouldn’t get any help or support with that which isn’t an issue but keen to know if others got theirs snipped.

He is currently feeding fine for a 4 day old taking bottles well but ive also seen it can cause speech issues later on so im really confused if its something I should sort or not.

Any experience or thoughts welcome .

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Personally I would get it snipped whilst he’s still young. DC2 has one and it was discovered later. He hardly slept, weaning was awful as he’d only have smooth purses up to 12 months and he had to have 2 rounds of SaLT. That was a few years ago and now the waiting lists for SaLT are much longer.

Don’t want to upset you, just thought I’d share our experience.

Congratulations on your new LO too Flowers
