9YO daughter being a cheeky F***

I feel awful. On holiday with my kids and struggling with my 9YO attitude. Sat on the couch and say “don’t go there, my drink is there” “I know” she huffs

2 minutes later she knocks my very full glass of Provence rose over.

I hit the roof!

she literally gives zero fucks, I called her a bitch and I’m done with this behaviour!

no respect at all

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Apple probably doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Bobbybobbins · 22/07/2026 21:58

Have you ever heard the expression "pot calling the kettle black"?

LottieMary · 22/07/2026 22:06

“I feel awful”

good. Don’t speak to children this way.

oatmilkthesecond · 22/07/2026 22:10

Don’t call your little girl a bitch.

When your glass is in a danger zone, move it. HTH.

beencaughttrollin · 22/07/2026 22:12

I would send her to France to harvest and press the grapes to make another glass. That may teach her to be more carful next time! Also, stop calling her a bitch - at least use a non-sex-based insult.

Gengha · 22/07/2026 22:14

Kids can be pains in the arse and I don’t blame you for being annoyed but calling a child a bitch is wholly unacceptable

MirrorVent · 22/07/2026 22:15

Jesus Christ, is this a joke? How awful for a 9 year old to have her own mother call her a bitch.

Lemonfrost · 22/07/2026 22:15

Don't believe a word of this.

Funchythesnowwoman · 22/07/2026 22:17

And what happened next ?

GreenWhiteViolets123 · 22/07/2026 22:21

Another example of creative writing. C+. Could do much better.

FrangipaniBlue · 22/07/2026 22:22

Did ye aye?

Darragon · 22/07/2026 22:29

If this is real you sound just like my mother. Don’t worry, she’ll grow up and go NC as soon as she can then you won’t have to put up with her for being a normal human.

JLou08 · 22/07/2026 22:30

You 'hit the roof' and called her a bitch over a spilt drink. Of course she isn't going to learn how to be respectful, it needs to be modeled by her parents. Good luck with the teen years, if you carry on parenting this way you're in for a very rough ride!

This. But in case it's for real, don't call your own child a bitch or refer to her as a f* when talking about her.

Any1ForTennis · 22/07/2026 22:40

Never understood people over filling a wine glass. I would prefer to refill it 6 times and keep the bottle on ice so it's super cold.

never2return · 22/07/2026 22:46

What happened next?

she said ‘fuck you mum’

and you said ‘don’t fucking swear at me’

Summerhillsquare · 23/07/2026 04:44

Schools out for the summer!

Palomiino · 23/07/2026 05:13

If this is real, you need to take a long, hard look at yourself.

It would hurt me to ever call any of my children names like you are doing.

She did it on purpose to spite you. She shoo g through an emotional time. Hormones, changes, factors around her. Calling her a bitch prob isn’t the best way of dealing with it though I understand sometimes when I am at my limit all sorts go through my head. Wouldn’t say that though. Maybe moody moo 😩
