How much are your school lunches?

I am just curious because my kids school just emailed us our lunches are going up a dollar this next school year(and 2 years ago it went up $.15 and last year .20) Currently with the increase it’s $4 for elementary and $4.30 for secondary. The state(Missouri) also didn’t raise income for free/reduced lunches with these raises in cost and a lot of families are already struggling and kids probably aren’t going to be feed, so just curious what other schools are charging and if this is outrageous?

School meals are free until age 11 here in London. For all children. Secondary schools vary by what you buy - a slice of pizza or pot of pasta is cheaper than a full hot meal for example.

Our primary school meals are going up to £3.40 a day in September. Midlands town, council run school not an academy. Meals are ok. Kids would rather have a packed lunch but I think they get more variety with school dinners. I ‘let’ them have a packed lunch once a week as a compromise.

My child’s new prep school is £240 a term and includes three courses with homemade soup and bread and a pasta/salad/fruit bar. We’re moving from another uk country and I cannot wait to escape the almost daily chips 🙄

DS is a day boy at a boarding school he can have all three meals st school and it is included in the fees. Realistically he eats breakfast at school one day a week, and has three lunches, he takes a packed lunch if he has spott

Approximately 40€ total per child per month for 2 meals 5 days a week - breakfast and lunch. This is full price - there are subsidies for families who can't afford it. Central European country.

My dds primary school is £3.40 per day.
She is often hungry at home time. She regularly ends up having a tuna sandwich with beans. Not sure if it’s me but that’s not something I would pair together. She enjoys the cake/biscuit or jelly for dessert though!
