Baby gate options for an awkward space at the top of stairs

Please help me find a baby gate to fit this awkward space at the top of our stairs. The issue we have is the banister is positioned at the top of the second step not at the very top of the stairs, so if we were to have a standard baby gate there would be a step before the gate.

Ideally, I’d like one at the very top of the stairs but is there such a thing as a baby gate with a ‘corner’ piece, to tie back into the banister?

I’d probably just baby gate each of the rooms instead. Or attach a piece of wood to stick out from the bannister (like on top of the wood that’s on the floor) and attach the gate to that

We found that if a gap is uneven it makes a firm fit quite tricky
what rooms will your dc be using upstairs? As per a pp I would put gates on the relevant room/s assuming you wouldn’t regularly be using the landing as a room/area.

A lifetime ago when we had young DC, we had this problem. We had a multi-sided gate (think it was a Baby Dan one) and marketed that you could put two together to make a playpen. So you have two pieces at a right angle or even three. It worked well.

The two babies bedrooms and ours are on this side of the landing so ideally would like to be able to go between all three, will have a look for a multi sided one, assume they are size adjustable? Such an awkward space.

If it’s just the 2 steps down I would focus on teaching them to crawl down safely.

I would just put the gate from the bannister to the wall against the lower step, there is very little risk of harm from one stair.
