Any top tips for how to make the rucksack lighter?

We’ve only packed the list the school gave us but it still weighs a tonne

DD found the practice hard today so trying to think of ways to make it slightly easier for tomorrow (bronze so first timer)

She does appreciate it’s meant to be brutal 😬

DD just completed the real thing (bronze) and struggled but - they really really do need the water. Agree that it is the stove and tent pieces that are much of the weight, unfortunately.

Ditched all the unneccesaries , swapped rucksack and now got it down to a manageable weight. Thanks ☺️

Good luck to your daughter! DS (SEN) achieved bronze and silver and will try gold in Sept. Little bit scarier from the taster session he has had, but such an amazing experience worth tackling. Your DD will never forget this incredible achievement.

Every little helps so anything that isn't essential take it out, all adds up, and pack it with the weight in the right place, so heaviest stuff at the bottom, not up near the shoulders.

when my DS did his bronze this year I was surprised how heavy his bag was. I thought at the time that some girls would likely struggle with the weight. Not much help, sorry
