Night time routine for 11 week old

Hi all, I have an 11 week old who im just starting to get into a routine now we are slowly exiting the newborn trenches! I use the huckleberry app for wake windows to help with making sure she has enough sleep in the day. This generally works pretty well. However nighttime is a whole different matter - she is impossible to settle and it takes hours and hours to get her down. Shes not even really crying - just wide awake and fussing.

Does anyone have any tips to get an earlier bedtime? Also once we do get her in bed, do you keep your babies downstairs with you? My husband and I watch tv in the evening and shes getting a bit big for her Moses basket so we have to transfer her into her Snuz pod but thats upstairs. Im not sure where to put her!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I kept DS with me on the sofa sleeping until we went to bed ourselves. In my experience, they don't get into an early 7/8pm bedtime routine until around 4 months. Bedtime tends to be quite late for most babies until then.

Yeah she just chilled with us till our bedtime then we did feed in the dark cuddles and bed. When she was about 4/5 months we started doing more routine for her!

I remember a friend saying that around this age her baby seemed to have a "false bedtime" and would be wide awake again not long after being settled. It didn't last forever, but it was exhausting while it did. Every baby is different, so try not to worry if your little one isn't following the routines you see online. You're still very much in those early weeks, and it does gradually get easier. 😊
