my 12 yo daughter keeps asking for gels/biabs/acrylics etc
apparently all her friends have them, it has been a firm no from me, but I’m just wondering if there are any products that you would recommend that last longer than standard nail polish. I was thinking sticker wraps like Glaize but they are all too plain for her, any ideas please thank you

Surely they aren't allowed them at school.

Lily & Fox nail wraps are cheap and cheerful, with lots of different designs. I can get up to a week out of them.

We use non gel nail wraps. They last a week or so on my dd (only a few days on me but that's because I clean things). They come off in the swimming pool though so no good if you're thinking about holiday.

We use ones from holy Grail nail. They have lots of choice.

Another vote for lily and fox wraps

order from the Australian site not the US one. They do take a few weeks to arrive. You can wear them with a couple of coats of plain polish underneath to protect your nails

do NOT use sassy saints. Not only do they not stay on, they sneakily set you up on an automatic subscription

Holy gels nail wraps. Some need the uv light and some not. I use the uv wraps. They last about 2-3 wks. Easy to apply and take off. They don't ruin your nails. They did a starter kit for around 30 pound.

I wouldn't use gel particularly on a child. It's not worth the risk of gel allergy.

I've seen a few adverts for Japanese nail buffing - maybe you could steer her towards that. If you're on Instagram there's a whole no gels/clean girl nails trend going on. More about nicely shaped nails with nice buffing or clear varnish.

What would be the point as she’d need to take them off ready for school each Monday?

Lily and fox wraps, just be prepared to wait a little while for delivery. This is my current set.

if you use a normal top coat these come off using normal acetone nail polish remover, note glitter sets take a bit of wiping to remove!
