Help! I’m pregnant and panicking

I have just found out I’m pregnant with baby #3 and I’m panicking. It took a while to fall pregnant with 1 and 2 so I didn’t expect to fall pregnant after having unprotected sex once 😂 I know, I’m a fool. However, I really felt my family was complete and I can’t imagine going through pregnancy, newborn, toddler etc again, especially not with 2 older children (they will be 5 and 3). I’m definitely going through with the pregnancy though so I’m really just looking for some advice/kind words as I get my head around it. Any replies appreciated 🙏

I’m now 8 months pregnant with our surprise third baby. I have a 4 and 2 year old and the 4 year old is so excited, it’s really sweet and he’s going to be an amazing help with the baby.

You’ve not got a big age gap so they’ll all be pretty close in age growing up still. Once we had time to get used to it we’re now really looking forward to the chaos of being a family of 5 and getting to experience newborn cuddles again. I’ve found this pregnancy easier than the last as the older two have each other now and they’re old enough to help out now I’m getting less mobile and more tired! 🤣 Good luck and congratulations ❤️

Congratulations!!!

I think keep your eyes on the long game. How wonderful it will be when they're grown, Christmases when they're a bit older will be magical, etc. Accept right now that the next 5 years will be hard work and make your peace with it. You already know what you're doing, have all the clothes and the gear etc.

Hope you're okay! I'm one of three and absolutely loved it, always someone to talk to, you felt surrounded by family. I'd love to have three myself and think 5 and 3 with DC1 and 2 is a really nice age gap. I only have one young toddler myself so far so can't give practical advice but just thought to add that - I'm the oldest as well

Let the news sink in . The unexpectedness must really be throwing you . You are not that far away from dealing with baby stage and you know how quickly it passes . Also you will have all the experience now and this maybe your easiest baby . Certainly will benefit from having siblings that can help entertain each other . Hope it goes well for you and after the initial shock you can let yourself enjoy this bonus baby.

Thank you so much all ❤️ it was so helpful and reassuring reading your responses. I’ve just let my GP practice know I’m pregnant!
