Will this leave a dent?

My son, 5, just ran into the edge of the kitchen counter. It’s a fairly sharp edge. There appears to be a bump with a scratch but I’m panicking it might leave a dent. Thoughts?

I'd be more worried about a potential concussion or fracture than the dint. Is that raised bump hard or a boggy swelling? If in doubt, I'd recommend a trip to your nearest walk in centre. It will almost certainly be fine, but with heads, better to get them checked (or ting 111 for advice).

I don’t think so. If he hit his head hard enough to damage his skull, I think you’d be seeing obvious signs of a head injury.

Oh no, he’s definitely not in concussion territory. It’s more that it was a sharp edge and I’m actually surprised it didn’t split the skin. I’d be in A&E in an instant if I thought he could have damaged his skull.
