thursdays3-5

nasty nasty nasty- think the thursday has made it worse i could cope if it was 9-4 on monday instead- or hours like this year where we only had one full day and 2 half. all days starting at 9 iyswim

i have to fit a placment in here somewhere to.

Romy7 · 22/06/2008 21:23

i got away with one day this year too.
ho hum.
not too worried tho as dc3 starts school so i'm not forking out for nursery as well.

altho dc1 childminder just told me she's emigrating, and her school doesn't have an after-school club.
bah.

dylsmum1998 · 22/06/2008 21:55

oh no are there other minders you can use?
my dd is with a childminder, am hoping the cm can accomadte a change of days!

it's a real pita. in my infinite wisdom i sent her to juniors in the next town, too, so have to do a real round robin pick-up.

only just found out, so need to start ringing round this week. i wasn't too worried for 1 day - mil could be persuaded probably, but the 3 day thing has sent me into a flat spin!
harumph.

dylsmum1998 · 22/06/2008 22:16

i already do a round robin to pick up dd then back for ds (reverse that in mornings)
i live in one town uni is in the next and dd's childminder is in the next after that.
if ds can go to the other minder i know she lives in a diff town but sometimes picks up from ds's school. i would be happier with him wth her, but dont think she has car space so looks like he'll have togo to after school, i looked at him going there this year but they didnt seem to want to let me in! they took ds up to look but not me a lady stayed chatting to me while he went with a teacher. it could have been cos dd was n pram and had to go upstairs. i didnt think much at the time but its been bugging me since- think i'll be more pushy this time.
there is also a day nursery that does pick ups so thats another option, best start looking i guess. still i got til 29th sept before i go back, but want it sorted before summer hols.

this year i had 3 at different places (2 diff towns), and uni different again - why do we bother i wonder?

at least this year 2 will be in the same place. quite looking forward to scrubbing one drop off and pick up!

good luck with cm!

dylsmum1998 · 22/06/2008 22:26

lol glad its not just me that does a virtual marathon in order to gain a degree (i say virtual cos i drive it 0
just think by the time i have my degree dd will be starting school, so no childminder drop off in other town when i'm hopefully working- my dilema then will be ds starts secondary school that year so then what do i do with him its all go that year!!
oh well deal with that then i guess
