What did you find hardest about preparing formula bottles?

Hello everyone,
I hope its ok to post here. In a 61 yr old granny who somehow ended up inventing a baby feeding product after seeing and remembering how frustrating and exhausted many parents are during Bottle preparation.
I spent all of my adult life being a stay at home mum and never imagined I would ever invent something and go on to get it manufactured in the UK. But I knew there had to be an easier way to prepare a formula bottle simply and accurately.
After years of research and product design attempts I now have a perfect measuring scoop for formula. I have now spent years trying to build a tiny business in the UK it honestly been the hardest thing I have ever done( and I had a mid cavity forceps delivery) TMI Alison,I would love to hear from parents about what you found hardest about formula feeding.( hopefully not the MIL telling you Breast is best when you have cracked nipples and a poor latch)
I'm not a big company and honestly my business is in bad shape. I really am just trying to keep something going that I believe will help families.
Thank you for reading.

I used the Tommy tippy perfect prep machine, How does your product different from this?

After triple feeding (breastfeeding, topping up with formula, then pumping to build supply), formula feeding was a piece of cake.

The formula already has a scoop for working out how to much give. There’s perfect prep machines, bottles that sterilise in the microwave, ready made formula and flasks that rapid cool formula. Formula feeding is easy. We went camping and managed to formula feed reasonably easily.

I didn't find it difficult or an imposition! In my day you washed the bottles, dumped them in the steam steriliser for 5 minutes, (then made myself coffee!), made up 24 hours worth of formula and threw them in the fridge. Probably took 15 minutes of my day. (Note for newer Mum's it was the guidance at the time you could make up to 24hrs ahead).

I spent a lot more of my day making snacks once they were past the bottle feeding stage.

It's quite boring is my biggest complaint! Does your product help with this?!

gwrbakes · 21/05/2026 15:28

Nothing was difficult. Bit of powder, bit of water. My DC are grown now but I didn’t find anything remotely difficult about making a bottle.

Why would you develop a measuring scoop when every tub of formula comes with one in it?

The worst part of making formula is washing and sterilising the bottles.

MrsCarmelaSoprano · 21/05/2026 15:52

I didn't find anything hard about bottle feeding.

Whoops75 · 21/05/2026 15:57

I didn’t find it hard but it was a chore when exhausted after growing and delivering a baby.

what is your product.

I only did it for a bit before my supply issues resolved but the problem I had was getting my head around how you are both told to make each feed fresh by boiling the kettle and leaving for 30 minutes and to feed on demand.
