ERF car seat recommendations for tiny car

Hello,

I am looking for an extended rear facing car seat for my 2.5 year old (tall, average to slim weight) to fit my Toyota Yaris.

I have ordered the Axkid Minikid 4 Max but now have come across the Avionaut Stardust 360 and wondering if it is better for the car in terms of being compact and able to turn it to get my child in and out? I also like the idea of Axkid One but think this may be way too bulky for my tiny car.

does anyone have any advice? Safety is my top priority then space and convenience.

thanks in advance!

Hi OP, I’d stick with the Axkid. It has a higher weight limit and the longest shell on the market, so with safety being your priority, it will last longer rear facing than the Avionaut, especially with a tall child. You may not be able to give your child lots of leg room, but they don’t really need it (and you don’t really get any with the Avionaut anyway). You also won’t get beyond 135cm in the Avionaut in HBB mode, so again, if safety is your priority, you’ll want to be using a HBB until 150cm. So Axkid and then a HBB when outgrown.
