I know I’m probably worrying about nothing but just looking for some similar experiences or advice!
My 14 week old started cooing around 12 weeks and it was absolutely adorable and I did absolutely everything to encourage it - repeating her noises, having ‘conversations’ with her etc
The last week or so though this has abruptly stopped and she hasn’t really made any cooing noises at all! (She will do the odd ‘ooooh’ ‘ahhheeeee’) She has however been very focused on grabbing toys and bringing them to her mouth and is trying sooooo hard to roll so I’m wondering if the babbling skill has taken a back seat?
Google tells me this is normal but I would love to know if anyone else has experienced the same.
My older child was speech delayed so I’m very conscious about this area of development and trying hard to do everything I can! I talk and sing silly songs to her ALL day, I basically narrate everything I’m doing but via song🥴😅 I read books to her as much as possible and she is very responsive and smiley and absolutely loves being spoken/sang too.
Is it normal for her to start babbling and then stop to focus on learning another skill?
