How to wash dummies

I know this sounds really silly. I’m a new mum and all the packing says wash in soapy water before sterilising. However when I wash in soapy water the clear bit of the dummy becomes packed with bubbles and I cannot get them out?
am I just being really stupid?

Put them under running water to rinse them while squeezing the clear bit to get the bubbles out. Or immerse them in a basin of water and do the same

As above and just let them dry. I’ve never sterilised.

I never washed them that thoroughly. Just rinsed. Sterilised once in a blue moon. Plenty of emergency cleaning just in my mouth if it had been chucked on the ground for a second and there wasn't another one available.
