My 2 1/2yr old has been dry for a few months now, but we can't get him to poo on the potty or toilet he waits until bed when he's got his nappy on. It's so frustrating as he did start going on the potty when first training but now he totally refuses... can anyone offer any suggestions.

All my 4 dc were the same. Its extremely common. Its basically a waiting game, he'll do it when he's ready, nothing you can do. Forcing him, making an issue out of it will just make him worse. He will get there, in his own time.

Agree with frazzlebutcalm, both my DD went through this stage DD1 was dry at night before she 'cracked' pooing in the loo. It just happened when they were ready - sorry this not much help, but at least you know your DS is not the only one. We had to put a nappy on DD1 for her to go and hide, do her thing, come back and change into pants

My only tip would be not to make a big deal of it as I'm sure that makes them more anxious. HTH
