That's the fold I'm using, with muslins. I've got escaping poo issues, which I've posted about, but it seems to be the best fold for a small wet baby.

thats what i was concerned about. will be usiong them in hospital with muslins as well.

am guessing a good wrap will stop poo getting onto clothes.

what wraps are you using?

Hi - I used this with my son as a newborn along with plastic pants and as a bf baby his poo was very runny and was forever escaping!! It's a great fold in terms of fitting on a little baby but I found the legs too 'baggy' hence the escaping poo and I tried rolling in the legs a bit which helped a little but I found the 'poo catcher' fold much better for containment. You would need to fold in a section from each side before folding into 3 so that it's narrow enough for a small baby. A good fitting ME wrap will also help with containment which I discovered when moving on from plastic pants!

Good luck with your baby when he/she arrives

hi misdee

i used to use the Jo fold with DD. It was quite reliable for catching BF baby poo.........and looked very cute

and I tried to do the origami fold but couldn't make head nor tail of the instructions on the Nappy Lady site!

missorinoco · 21/06/2008 18:50

i used the jo fold too.

I'm using the airflow wraps. I've not had leaks onto clothes though, just dirty wraps, which then have to go in the wash straight away, which is a pain with only four wraps.
