Has your secondary school updated its uniform list for September rules?

DD starts high school this September. Trying to start sorting out uniform and I know there are new rules from this September that schools have limit of 3 branded items (4 if including a tie)
I have contacted the school 2 times now regarding this to be told they will send out emails. currently on their website it’s;

blazer with logo badge
tie
girls skirt with school logo on
PE top with logo on
PE shorts/skirt with logo on

so this is 5 items (I’m assuming they will drop the skirt with logo as boys can wear normal black trousers)
Anyone had communications from their high school with similar uniform structure? Thanks

Id suspect tbey will go to plain PE shorts... thats what DDs school did (its blazer, schol pe top and school skirt... when ekder DD started they had patterned shorts/skort.)

The price didnt actually change though!

Ours has dropped the blazer being compulsory. Already been published.

ah could be pe shorts, was hoping on the skirt as they are £36 each from a specialist supplier!!

This would be good, Blazers are so fashioned now. I work in an office environment/corporate and no one wear suits/ties anymore

Ours already has 'just' 4 branded items including tie

School cardigan/jumper
School PE jumper
School tie
School skirt

For PE it's normal skorts or shorts but even the shorts have to be football style shorts, not cycling style shorts!

Our school are currently consulting on this so it may be worth checking the school newsletters to see if there is something about Uniform changes?

Ours did this already several years ago. If it’s spreading the cost you’re concerned about, just put the money aside and buy when updated.

When ours made the change they ditched the blazer and tie, for cotton jumpers with plain shirt, unbranded skirt, then branded PE shirt with shorts/leggings of your choosing.

There is still lots of branded stuff, like a PE jumper and a waterproof coat, but not mandatory and I don’t think anyone buys them.

Our School also hasn't made a decision. They want it all to stay! Be aware, they may say, "school badged jumper is not compulsory....but if you want to not freeze the only permitted jumper is the badged one. But, it's not compulsory of course".

It’s May….

Logo skirt if it’s on the waist will be kept as it’s a good way to check length/rolling up

Does your school not have a second hand uniform sale? My DD’s school has a ton of branded items and a distinctive pleated skirt but all of it was able to be purchased at very cheap prices. They ran the stall at the various events for parents at the end of the term. I think even in year 9 we’ve only bought some new shirts and one skort new.

Can the girls wear non-branded trousers? It seems like the large difference in costs would be discriminatory, otherwise?
