Hi! My daughter is 2.5 and has been potty training (sort of) since December 2025. She did amazingly at the start smashing both wee's and poo's however after a little while she really declined with Poos! Wees she is great, will tell you when she needs to go and will even take herself off and do it without prompting however with poos she just refuses. I can get her to do a poo (sometimes) if I spot the signs and see her squeezing her legs but even then it's me placing her onto the potty and distracting her until she does it. All other times she tries to hold it in resulting in her pooing in her pants. We tried taking it back to rewards, no pants when in the house etc but nothing seems to be working - If anyone can give me some help and guidance this would be amazing, it doesn't seem to be getting any better I just don't know what to do

I don’t have direct experience as my DS got it quite quickly, but my friend’s DS was very similar to this - friend said he just didn’t seem to know when he needed to go / couldn’t identify the feeling.
There isn’t any advice coming alongside this, but just wanted to say that he did get there in the end, it just took a lot longer than expected.
