Nurofen 16 month old too much

I have accidentally given my 16 month old 5ml of nurofen 4 doses in 24 hours with a 4 hour gap.

Is this too much?

Oh bless you OP, your child will almost certainly be unaffected but given that it’s a few double doses I’d say call 111 just to get some professional advice.

Yes this is too much, max dose is 3 doses 5mls in 24 hours. It is highly unlikely to have caused any harm as long as this isn't repeated over a course of days but to put your mind at rest then I would call 111 for advice and reassurance. It would helpful if you could tell them your child's weight too.

Yes he was fine i kept an eye on him, he quite a big boy
