Advise and rant…
My nearly 11 month old and illnesses. He started nursery in January 2 days per week and since it’s been none stop germs. I knew it was going to be tuff but it’s extreme it’s every other week 😳

Since January he has had 7 lots of antibiotics…..
1 hospital stay
2 ambulance rides
4 hospital visits and multiple doctors appointments.

he finished his last lot of antibiotics Wednesday this week. He got up at 7.10am slight cough gave ibuprofen. Was playing lovely ate some breakfast (not as much as normal) 9.30 be was crying for bottle and sleep. Slept for 2 hours temp 37. 2 hours later his lethargic upset and unsettled. Temps gone to 39.6. Called 111 gave more ibuprofen.

took him to the hospital heart rate 171 temp still high. Given calpol. Doctor advised he has slap cheek yes his face was red but it goes up and down!!

managed to get his temp down to 37.4 he perks up….

7th April. Slight sniffles sent him to nursery 8.30am. 3pm call from nursery his been sleeping on and off for 2 hours unlike him. Mum gets him from nursery temp is 38 get him a doctors appointment. 5.10pm heart rate through the roof and temp at 39 get blue lighted to hospital…. tonsillitis.

Prior to this his had tonsillitis 7 times.

His body needs a break he needs a break I need a break. I’m scared for him something is seriously wrong and the meds is just masking it.

doctor has done a referral for tonsillectomy. Pembury rejected, eveilna rejected, great ormand street rejected. Now we are with St George’s hospital London. Not even had an appointment and at least 49 weeks wait for surgery.

What can I do to help him, I’m an anxious mess and it’s not helping anyone !

his sleeping now, with no red cheeks and another round of meds

Im really sorry your little one is going through this, it genuinely sounds so scary and I hope he is OK, bless him.

Has he had any blood tests done such as CBC and CRP?

I know it will be expensive but could you afford to go private and see a paediatrician?

I hope your son begins to feel better soon xxx

Thanks so much for your reply, we have been looking in to getting his tonsils out private.

im going to try our local GPs again tomorrow and push for blood test. His temp is still high but I can control it with meds every 4 hours.
his eating very well this morning 😊
