.....I let him run around naked all day! But the minute I put pants/shorts on he wets himself despite constant reminders. Not sure what to do to move him on. Any suggestions?

No, sorry. But I've found the same - no pants = no accidents. Bizarre!

ooooh, ds was like this for ages

I put underpants on him and let him run around with just them on all day. When he went, I just changed the undies and obviously didn't tell him off, but mentioned (nicely) that if he'd have said he wanted to go, I would have helped him take them off in time.

He just seemed to "get" it after a loooooooong time, I don't think there was anything specific that I did though.

Same situation here with DS 2.5.
I have just given up after 3 weeks and will try again once we have come back from holiday.
If the potty was around he would use it no problem.....without pants, but as soon as they were on he would wet himself.
The bladder control was there as he would only wee every 3-4 hours and in the mornings I would take his night time nappy off and it would be bone dry!
How long is a loooong time Squonk? DS goes to nursery 3 mornings a week and he was having lots of accidents there.
Any advice would make me a happy mummy !

DS is due to start preschool in Spetmeber and they won't take him if he isn't potty trained! I will persevere!
