11th month unbelievably cranky

Hi all - I’m in some kind of dire stage with my 11 week old, she is she so cranky!!! I can barely console her day to day. She’s fine when she wakes up, we do a contact nap on the am with baby carrier and that’s usually fine will nap for 45 mins. Then it all sort of starts to fall apart…will only cat nap the rest of the day but she’s super difficult to get down. Then it’s almost like she’s just getting over tired and spirals. She then just wants to be held constantly and walked around. My shoulder is on bits from it. She feeds regularly every 3/3.5 hours but often I try to feed her earlier to calm her which then leads to a cycle of snacking.

now evenings she is brilliant, goes down at 7 and generally sleeps through with a dream feed at 10.30/11 or was the case but woke up at 4 last night seemingly hungry but again hard to settle. (Think hopefully a one off as she took a small dream feed but also was extra cranky yesterday so was half expecting this)

i guess I just need some reassurance the days are so so hard, I felt I could cope knowing I had the night and now panicking as that was a bit of a mess last night

Could still be very extended witching hour, could be 4 month sleep regression early, could be teeth, could just be her! Hang in there. The advantage of tiny babies is that they tend to do something new every week. It's not always an improvement, but something will probably chance soon! I wouldn't worry about the snacking because at that age they just drink when they need, and you'll be much less stressed if you stop trying to think of routines and go with the flow. You'll have good days and bad days, but no days are a failure.

Assuming you mean 11 weeks from your description of what’s going on!

My DS was inconsolable around that age, turns out he had raging reflux, which would tally with your little one wanting to be held upright all the time. Does she arch her back, spit up/vomit a lot?

No none of that. Just relentless in terms of cat napping over tired and cranky! I agree with the other lady who posted above, yesterday we just went with if she cranks cycle through feeding burping napping and she seemed happier…but then was constantly having 60 ml feeds every 1.5 hours. So wish I was able to breastfeed as intended as would have been a lot easier…just so relentless we are on holiday too which I guess does not help. Thank you for replies I feel lesss alone already 🤣

Haha, if you breastfeed, you just end up going through the 90 minute cycle with a small leech attached to you. It will get better!
