Day 3 starts of potty training 2yo today. Less accidents and knows to go on potty quite clearly. Trying pants or knickers on today to get her used to that

Yesterday she kept going for little wees on potty and sometimes goes I need a wee

Sits on it. Doesn't do anything and says I didn't have one etc

Knows if she's weed on floor etc

Nappy overnight is full but I heard night time is hormonal not something that can be trained instantly

Any tips or tricks? She has nursery Tuesday
And they can help with however far aline she is as long as she is somewhat trained and im not a parent sending my child in expecting them to do it etc

Yes, I think that sounds like it's going really well for day 3. She should be in a pretty good position by Tuesday after 2 more days of making progress. Just keep encouraging her.

Thanks I was panicking but on the first day she refused the potty until 3pm! Then made good moves so a lot can happen in these 2 days

No poop yet but she is usually a bit constipated even in nappies she wouldn't poo daily

Sounds about where my two year old was at by day three....dont be discouraged by lots of accidents especially at nursery, and send her in with lots of spare clothes!

I think that sounds great. Definitely in pants now, not nappies. I set a timer for every 15 minutes, 20, 30 minutes and we sat on the potty and got a chocolate button for trying. Lots of fluids, watered down juice, squash, milk to create lots of opportunities.

I wouldn’t even think about nighttimes yet. Mine were both toilet trained at 2.5 ish. They weren’t dry at night until 6 & 7, which is pretty normal.

Lots of changes of clothes for nursery, like 8, and a dry bag for the wet stuff. She will have a lot more accidents at nursery than at home, but keep going.

Do you wake her in the morning or does she wake independently? Full night time nappy sounds like she’s waking a doing a huge wee (possibly without even realising). If you can get her straight on the potty in the morning a big morning wee and lots of praise will help cement that understanding and those feelings of a full bladder followed by an empty one.

Thanks everyone! Update, had pants on all morning did some wees on potty and doing good with pants up and down, only 1 accident and it was a tinkle really!

Yes my mum is shopping today so asked her to go to primsrk get lots of spare knickers socks and their kids joggers and I'll give her the money! So I can fill dd nursery bag and dress her in easy stuff for her to go potty and if they get ruined then they're only cheap

Okay will try this she does usually wake me via monitor as I'm not an early bird and she is haha will try this

We’ve just potty trained. It went really well. We did it gradually. Just send her to nursery with no nappy and plenty changes of clothes. They learn really quickly there as a lot of their friends will be using the big boy/girl toilets.

Going well only 3 accidents yesterday Overall but little wees and one was during a temper tantrum

Had one this morning as I woke her got her nappy off and if you wake her she is tough waking takes ages to wake fully so said she needs a wee but didn't go and then had a small tinkle

Give her a drink now and will keep an eye just reinforced that we wee on potty not ourself or floor etc x
