Potty training advice please

Potty training help please!

My LB is nearly 3, we started potty training at the end of jan and at home he picked it up really well. After a few days chocolate bribery he does 95% of his wees and poos on the toilet or potty. Tells us when he wants to go and has even woken up dry on several occasions after 12 hours. However nursery is another battle, he wees on the toilet there but every single day (3 days a week) there are multiple poo accidents. He can tell me where the toilet is, who to tell when he needs a poo, that he should do poos on the toilet not in his pants ….but he still does them. They look out for his cues and have offered sticker charts etc and I’ve offered treats for after nursery if he uses the toilet, it’s making no difference and this has been for over two months now! Do we go back to pull-ups for nursery for a while? If I ask him if he wants pull-ups instead of underpants he says no but I don’t know how else to move forward with this! Any advice appreciated

I don't have an answer for you but my 3 year old also refuses to poo at nursery. He has had only one accident, but holds his poo and is utterly desperate by the time he gets home. Staff say he is literally holding his bum with his hand from about 3pm. I tried taking him to the nursery toilet when I picked him up at 5, holding his hand, singing to him. I could see he was straining and pushing until he was crying but the poo wouldn't come. Clearly for some reason he's too anxious to let go at nursery.
