Durable leggings for boys aged 6 to 8?

My DS is 6 and in age 6-7 or 7-8 clothing depending on the brand. For trousers he only really likes leggings and I usually buy them from Lindex as I haven’t found another brand which aren’t too pink/unicorn/rainbow themed etc by this age. But they’re constantly getting holes in and don’t seem to last very long!

Has anyone found a more durable brand of leggings for boys in this size?!

Also interested in this… my 5 year old son also likes leggings and I’ve been buying the thermal ones from Uniqlo but they get holes in the knee immediately.

Have a look at some cloth nappy brands that do leggings. It's been a while so not sure on the best brands now but I used to buy smartbottoms leggings for DS. They definitely go up to 6yo, possibly older.

I'm sorry but at 6 you.need to ease him into joggers before the kids start to tease him. They are quite a narrow fitting style at the moment. Not dissimilar in feel.

Have you looked at brands like under armour for the skins to wear under rugby shorts? Maybe too tight?

I agree. I don't think should boys wear leggings.

Lindex would be my go to also.
What about Polarn o Pyret?
Next also have some leggings for older boys but they are a bit plain.

My son is 7. He has leggings, jeans, joggers and enjoys wearing them all. Absolutely no problem. Ignore people telling you to stop him wearing what he wants.

Someone else suggested sports style leggings. We have a few from sports direct and he really likes wearing under shorts and they are definitely durable. He wears for football, and school gym/ PE.

Ds wears these under his football kit during the winter, the under armour ones have all tie very quickly despite often being far more expensive than eg the reebok ones! To be fair he is a goalkeeper so always diving about on his knees and none of them have seemed especially long lasting.

I got champion ones of Amazon weren’t to expensive he’s been wearing them for 2 years and he’s a very outdoorsy child still going strong

Thank you all (well, all who made helpful suggestions instead of saying boys shouldn’t wear leggings)! Will try one brand at a time until we find some we’re happy with! Just ordered from Polarn O Pyret.

Sondico do football base layers which are basically durable leggings - not much colour choice but do the job.

Was going to recommend Sports Direct. Lots of base layer style bottoms and training pants there.

I've been eyeing these up for a while. They're made in the EU though so although they ship here there would be customs charges. https://babbily.eu/en

I second this, both my boys (8 and 10) have a couple of pairs of these and they are really tough wearing so much that they have been passed down.
