Just a bit of a celebratory post as I feel like screaming this from the rooftops, and a bit of hope for anybody with a baby who you feel won’t ever sleep through the night.
My little boy slept through the night for the first time ever on Wednesday night, and he just did it for a second time last night. I know a lot of children reach this point long before 19 months, but my God it has been such a journey, and I never even believed the time would come, but it did!!
He was a CMPA baby, breastfeeding was HARD and he was clingy and refused to sleep anywhere other than on or right next to me from the night I brought him home from the hospital. I hallucinated from pure exhaustion during the first few months and spent the first 7/8 months with him almost constantly attached to me in the daytime, I had to have him in a carrier all day long as I did everything.
and now he is the most confident, independent boy. He still needs to be cuddled to sleep but I am very much okay with that.
I am just sooooo proud!!!
