How get rid of smell?

Two young boys, good at using toilet properly but occasional drips onto seat etc. I clean toilet every day including floor (the toilet is flush against wall so no space behind toilet) but still the urinal smell persists. It almost feels like the smell is saturated into the porcelain now. Tmi but if i give the rim a sniff after ive cleaned it thoroughly i can still smell old wee. I'm sick of it. How can i get rid of smell and clean it even better? Can't afford to replace toilet

Shaving foam scrubbed in and wiped off.

Came here to say this. It actually works. Apply the foam generously, give it a scrub with a scourer, and wipe clean.

I make my son sit down on the toilet when at home.

Take the seat off and thoroughly clean the hinges and fixings.
Clean nearby walls, skirting boards etc that could have got splashed.

Is there silicone sealant around the bottom to stop wee going underneath it? If not, you need to clean it and then put sealant round. Also, if you have a wooden floor underneath it could be soaked into that.

I would think it will be the floor and surrounding area rather than the actual loo.

3 boys here. I recommend shaving foam as well. Or one of the animal urine neutraliser cleaners.

Yes there is sealant, apart from a tiny gap plumber said to leave in case there in a leak and so we can spot it rather than just pooling underneath, arghh!
Think shaving foam first then will try and the cleaning products. Now to get the toilet seat off...
