Last night my 7 year old was scared to sleep because of something he's seen in YouTube ( not even watched the video just seen the title)!

For now I've said it's off an he's on Netflix is there any way you can lock it down so for example he can only see Ronaldo channel?

I think the YouTube kids app lets you block or approve specific channels

Another option would be to use YouTube premium, which let's you download videos.. you could then give him the device with the wifi turned off, and he would only be able to watch what you have downloaded for him.

Thanks he's watching it on the TV so turning WiFi off won't work.

We've had an incident in the past with kids profile too thought we were ok watching football videos 😞

Your 7 year old simply shouldn’t be watching YouTube unsupervised. My 13 year old doesn’t have unrestricted access to YouTube.

youtube needs to be intentional use. So need help to learn something you find one video that's going to help. On the family TV so we are all there together and can question anything.
It's frustrating but you have to monitor it. All the technology is there to make it super safe but they don't want that.
