Tips on how to clean my house.

I don’t know if this is the right place to post, but I always struggled with cleaning and tidying my house. I have 5 children and this year have been suffering from an autoimmune condition that makes me even more tired than usual (just started treatment), and the toddler is like a tornado of destruction on most days.

I was hoping to try different methods, like having a chart (never worked before, but may do this time?), I looked into YouTubers that clean at the same time as me to get the job done (looks fun but does it work?).

How do people manage to keep their houses tidy and clean? I am so jealous that other people make it look so easy. Do you wake up at 5am to start? We are starting to grow black mould above windows and everything looks like it is covered in a layer of dust and grime.

I am a housewife who is very bad at housework. Is there a way to change?

For me what works is trying to keep on top of it by doing a bit every day.
So dishes done and kitchen wiped every day without fail.
Tidying done every day-not to perfect levels just trying to stop the mess spreading too much.
Downstairs vacuumed every day (I do have a robot).

If I notice something quick to rectify like a dirty loo or toothpaste on the sink I try to deal with it straight away.

Mon-Thurs I try to deal with one area. So one day I’ll dust the living rooms, another I’ll clean bathrooms, another bedrooms… Some people prefer to dust the whole house one day, vacuum another etc. Every Friday I reset ready for the weekend by getting everything that has migrated back in the correct rooms and then I’ll spend a bit of time doing one of the deeper jobs I don’t otherwise get round to. Cleaning the oven, dealing with mould, organising a cupboard, pulling out furniture to clean behind, doing the high up dusting in a room. That kind of thing. I try to rotate round rooms but often it’s just whatever is bugging me most so last week I did the kitchen blinds.

The communal areas are mostly at a passable level as is my bedroom however all four kids rooms are a disaster!
