How to stop the pressure i put on myself

Luckily this isn't too often. For obvious reasons dont like my young children (4 & 3) being poorly it breaks my heart but on sick days i always feel like a bad mum because no structured activites, oh we havent went the park or library or we havent played loads and whoever sick has just laid about

How do I stop this feeling? Eldest is so poorly today nor virus it's one of my day off im part time but I'll be keeping him off a bit (cancelling my work trip too) so he's napped and basically lay down all day so far he must be wiped, the telly's been on he's barely played

I shouldn't feel bad, he needs his rest? Between cleaning up any sick etc and checking on him caring for him I am playing with my youngest but she's having some telly too she was awake a little with a cough so needs to chill too

Its silly rationally I know they need to rest. Especially eldest with the bug he has. So it doesn't matter if we put on premier league highlights (lol he's starting to get into DH'S team!) Or spidey for a bit , they just need to chill and not a big learning activity or outing

Just remember there are lots of parents who don’t do structured activities routines, mine never have both are autistic and prefer to choose what they want to do. Stop comparing yourself to other parents as I can tell you now what you see on social media is a load of crap made to make other mothers feel bad.
Go snuggle your babies on the sofa.

Even well DC need time to do theor own thing for a while and a sick DC definitely n needs rest. Sounds like you’re providing exactly what they need today Flowers
